today as usual we woke up at 8am for breakfast at the hotel restaurant we had porridge and buns. then we headed to
lu lin zhai which was a war site for the Chinese anti government rebels.trekking up the steep slope looking at the war flags and figurine soldiers we saw yet another view of mount
lu lin. at the peak of the mountain there were loads of activities happening , there was horse ridding ,archery as well as performance by the locals. i tried the at the archery and went to watch the performance. i was amazed by the performance done by the locals. After
lu lin zhai we went to another mountain named
luo tuo feng which means camel peak , we took a mini bus up the steep slope then walk towards the temple situated on the peak of the mountain. some of us prayed at the temple while the others waited outside then we proceeded up camel peak there was 3 trials to pass before reaching the peak. Passing the last trail "
yi xian tian" we were able to see the other side of the
moutaint, we begun our descend to the car park where we waited for the bus. We had our last meal at
lu lin then we were on our way back to the hostel.
the gates to
lu lin zhai
soldiers keeping a lookout for enemies
the place the troops hung their laundry
war flags in the past
a mega sized mosquito i found
the last trial stairway to heaven
look how narrow the passage is
my reflection
my reflection for today is to be contented with what we have. i realise that in Singapore i have taken the transport system for granted always complaining about how packed the bus is, why is the bus not coming , why is the fare so expensive but now in Wuhan i feel that the transport system have to be further improved as compared to Singapore. traveling from one end to the other end of Singapore would take 2hours by bus but in china it could take days . just by traveling to
lu lin made me realise that the transportation system is good in Singapore and we should cherish these privileges given to us instead of complaining.
Dear Mingyu, a good account of the day's event and reflections. It is only be experiencing some of these daily experiences (e.g. traveling on a bus)that you can feel the pulse of the country. Take care. Lim Choon Boo
